Gators Cycling
Logo, Print, and Social Media Case Study
Project Overview:
For the University of Florida’s Gators Cycling Club, I developed a set of graphics to establish visual identity. The project included designing a new logo, creating a printed sticker design, and managing a series of social media posts. The goal was to develop the club’s branding with a traceable visual identity and drive membership, growth, and participation at volunteer events.
Research and Analysis:
I conducted informal interviews with current club members to understand their visual preferences and the club’s branding needs. I also analyzed the branding of other student organizations and collegiate cycling clubs. Key insights showed that the club needed a more recognizable and engaging visual identity to attract new members and increase recurring participation.
Design Process:
I began with ideation sketches and explored various logo concepts that embodied the club’s spirit. Through multiple iterations, I refined the final design to ensure versatility across print and digital formats. The sticker design was created as a promotional tool to boost visibility, while the social media graphics followed a consistent style to maintain brand recognition.

Final Design:
The final logo featured a bold design that reflected the energy of the cycling club’s racing spirit. The sticker design reinforced brand identity and commanded attention through detailed illustration. The social media graphics followed a cohesive theme, utilizing a mix of recognizable UF and club branding elements in combination with welcoming copywriting.

Results and Impact:
The project had a measurable impact, bringing in 12 new members to the club, generating over 30 hours of participation in volunteer events, and 6 new members entered into racing. The refreshed branding strengthened the club’s presence on campus, making it more appealing to prospective members and increasing overall engagement.
