Two Shoes
Logo Design Case Study
Project Overview:
Two Shoes is a company focused on both designing products and building teams through human-centered strategy. As they developed their brand, they needed an early visual identity that captured their mission while conveying efficiency in their two-pronged approach. My goal was to design a logo that visually represented their message, creating a foundation for future brand development.
Research and Analysis:
To understand the brand’s core values and aesthetic preferences, I conducted guided interviews with the founders to gather insights. I also analyzed competitors in the creative agency space adjacent to government contractors. The key takeaway was that Two Shoes needed a logo that symbolized partnership, adaptability, and innovation without feeling overly corporate or rigid.
Design Process:
I started with an extensive set of logo options, making sure to cover all bases. Through extensive iteration and repeated interviews with the founders, I refined the logo to ensure it was both visually striking and flexible across different brand touchpoints.
Challenges and Solutions:
One challenge was balancing simplicity with meaningful symbolism—ensuring the logo was instantly recognizable while encapsulating the company’s dual nature. To solve this, I used clean, modern shapes and subtle symmetry to create a recognizable mark. Another challenge was ensuring the design remained adaptable for future brand applications. I addressed this by developing variations that could work across digital, print, and merchandise.
Final Design:
The final logo features a sleek, modern design that visually represents the concept of a dynamic duo. Through interlocking and symmetrical elements, the logo conveys movement and synergy, reinforcing the brand’s core mission.
Results and Impact:
The new logo established a strong foundation for Two Shoes’ brand identity, helping them present a professional image to potential clients and partners. It provided a cohesive visual anchor for future branding efforts, in part, driving the company’s growth and recognition within the industry.
